MASOOR DAL RECIPE!

1 cup lentils
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp salt
4 tsp minced onions
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
4 tsp olive oil
1 tsp ginger

Rinse lentils completely.

In a medium size pan place lentils, turmeric, ginger, cayenne and salt. Cover with 1 inch of water and bring to boil. Reduce heat and continue to cook lentils until they are tender (almost soup like)

In a small pan cook oil, onions and cumin together. Make sure to brown the onions, but don't burn them.

Mix oil mixture into the lentils. This is a great dish with rice!
