Cheddar and Broccoli Soup!


1/4 cup butter
2 TBL dried onion flakes
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 bag of frozen broccoli
1 qt chicken broth
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cups milk
salt to taste
8 oz. shredded medium cheddar cheese

Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onion flakes, garlic powder, pepper, broccoli and chicken broth to the butter. Bring to boil and then let simmer until broccoli is cooked through. In a separate bowl add milk and flour. Stir until flour is completely dissolved. Add this to the rest of the soup. Continue stirring until the soup is thick. Turn the temperature to medium low. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until it is melted. Add salt to taste.

Serve with a French baguette!
